JMR ELECTRONICS, INC. SET TO SPONSOR THIRD-ANNUAL BOSTON UNIVERSITY COMEDY IN A DIGITAL AGE BENEFIT

Award winning storage solutions provider announces sneak peak at their newest product line during benefit for the Boston University

JMR Electronics, Inc., a leading value provider of scalable storage solutions since 1982, has announced their sponsorship of the prestigious third-annual COMEDY IN A DIGITAL AGE, hosted by Jason Alexander, November 18th, 2010 at the Hollywood Improv.

The event, produced by CAKE LIVE Inc. benefits the Boston University in Los Angeles (BU in LA) Graduate Certificate Program Scholarship Fund. The BU in LA Certificate programs, part of Boston University's International Programs, offers students an intensive internship-based semester in acting and screenwriting--bridging the divide between academic training and the real world of film and television.

The evening begins with a pre-showcase digital content creation display and cocktail party. JMR will be giving a premiere showing of their newest product line, which is scheduled for release in 2011. The display will feature a full 3-D color correction demo using Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve software. This demo is aimed to showcase the powerful combination of high-end color correction software coupled with JMR’s newest storage solutions line.

The pre-showcase digital content creation display also features products from co-sponsors, Adobe Systems, Inc., who will be showing their award-winning CS5 software and Canon U.S.A., Inc., who will be presenting a workshop in conjunction with the event on Canon EOS HD SLR cameras entitled, DSLRs Take the Stage: Canon EOS 7D DSLR and Today’s Storytellers.

Jason Alexander will host the comedy showcase. The evening also features comedians and fellow BU alumni Bruce Fine, Jamie Kaler, Elon Gold, Michaela Watkins and John Henson--some of today’s funniest and hardest working comedians who have succeeded at navigating comedy in today’s advanced digital technology era. The event will also spotlight the power of "going viral" through a presentation of video shorts by BU comics.
