The leading Direct Attached and Fibre Channel storage product line, now available worldwide, is ideal for digital broadcast and post-product
JMR Electronics, Inc., a leading value provider of scalable storage systems for video and data intensive applications, will debut several new digital video and broadcast-ready RAID storage solutions at the IBC 2009 show at RAI Centre in Amsterdam from September 10th- 15th.
At JMR’s Booth (Hall 7, Stand G14), the company will introduce its latest Fibre Channel storage offering, FibreStream. When added to an existing Storage Area Network (SAN), the FibreStream solution becomes a highly scalable and reliable system that can be configured for RAID levels 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 40, 50 or 60. FibreStream features a built-in 4-port 4Gb FC switch, and is the highest performance per dollar storage system available on the market, with an average measured read speed of 1,317.286 MB/sec and an average measured write speed of 756.165 MB/sec.
JMR’s 4U rackmount BlueStor 16-bay RAID Video Server system will also be featured, and will be demonstrated as an ingest server running Assimilate SCRATCH software, featuring a 19-in-1 card reader, Blu-ray writer, an nVIDIA Quadro 5600 SDI graphics card, USB and an E-SATA storage port. The 16-bay unit can expand up to 32 TB using the latest generation 2 TB SATA-II disk drives.
In addition, the JMR EXTN-8, a PCIe bus extender with a built-in 16-bay SAS/SATA hot-swap JBOD/RAID housed in a common 3U rackmount chassis, is another high-performance storage option available for attendees to preview. The 5-slot PCIe bus extender’s reliability is backed by nearly two years of compatibility testing with many motherboards, operating systems and peripheral devices. The EXTN-8 is a highly functional unit which includes the added benefit of a JBOD/RAID storage subsystem in the same chassis (capable of up to 32TB SATA storage).
JMR’s affordable and fault-tolerant storage solutions are based on JMR’s PeSAN™ (PCIe Storage Attached Network) technology. JMR’s 16-bay BlueStor PeSAN RAID systems were developed to be the ultimate in high-performance Direct Attached Storage for a wide range of video applications like content creation, VOD, video editing and 2K/4K Digital Intermediate (DI) film applications requiring extremely high sustained throughput and reliability – making it ideal for encoding, multi-stream SD/HD real-time editing, and 2K DI applications. For collaborative or multi-stream SD/HD and 2K/4K DI workflows requiring even higher performance and scalable storage, BlueStor PeSAN powered RAIDs can achieve up to 4,000 MB/s throughput and scale to over 4,000 TB raw capacity using the current JMR PeSAN technology.
