BlueStor™ PCIe External Switch

The BlueStor™ PCIe External Switch is a 1U rackmount containing either one or two 6-port PCIe switches, with redundant power and cooling for Enterprise class environments.

The single switch model PS1U-6S features full-bandwidth (4000 MB/s) PCIe performance with x8 connections to the host and for expansion or concatenation to other switches or x8 devices and four more x4 PCIe ports for connection to PeSAN™ RAID storage units or other PCIe devices (total of six ports).  The dual switch model PS1U-6D provides exactly double that connectivity, with a total of four x8 and eight x4 PCIe ports in a common 1U rackmount enclosure.  Each BlueStor™ PCIe Exernal Switch has N+1 hot-swappable power supplies with separate power cords and a Physical User Interface that includes front panel slot status indicators and rear PCIe link status indicators.

Using BlueStor™ PCIe Switches, 256 PCIe targets may be connected, yielding up to 4,096 disk drives if desired.
